I couldn't put the book down!
I became very involved with the characters and the storyline almost from page one. You
will be rooting for the main character and knowing that it all really happened makes it
even more vivid and compelling for the reader. The author has provided a window to a world
and time that seems so far removed from our present existence and yet it was less than a
century ago. Reading this true account of a mind-boggling time in our past, you cringe at
the atrocities some human beings (if you can call them humans) have committed against
others and marvel at the human spirit in surviving it all and living to tell about it.
This is a must-read for everyone not only to be part of history and learn from the past
but also to renew your hope in the human spirit.

From one book lover to another
I have heard of starving Armenians often at the dinner table when I was a
child. But I never knew what it really meant until I read this true-story book. The story
is very gripping and it hunted me way after I finished reading it. I cant remember
when it was the last time a book moved me so muchmade me laugh, weep and feel so
good.
